Bees for Development is an independent organisation founded in 1993 by Dr Nicola Bradbear and Ms Helen Jackson. They are an information service working in the centre of an international network of people and organisations involved with apiculture in developing countries.
The philosophy of Bees for Development is to assist people living in poor and remote areas of the world, and to raise awarness about the value of beekeeping for poverty alleviation. They provide a free information and advice service to beekeepers in developing countries.
Beekeeping is an effective way for poor people to strengthen their livelihoods, and Bees for Development works to provide information to assist them.
